Specialist Resource framework with APHA
The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) has appointed HallMark to supply specialist temporary staff for business as usual purposes, as well as responding to animal disease outbreaks and incidents across England, Wales and Scotland. The Food Standards Agency (FSA), Food Standards Scotland (FSS) and other organisations within the core Defra Group, Welsh Government and Scottish Government are also able to independently call off from the Framework.
The framework is split into three lots for different types of specialist resources:
Lot 1 – Veterinary Personnel, including Senior Veterinary Inspectors, Veterinary Managers and Auditors and Veterinary Investigation Officers (pathologists)
Lot 2 – Technical Personnel including Animal Health Officers and Technical Officers
Lot 3 – Scientific Personnel, ranging from Epidemiological roles to Mathematical Modellers and Risk Analysts
There are three different methods of calling off from the Framework, as determined by the urgency of the requirement:
- • Outbreak – target deployment within twenty-four hours
- • Fast Stream - target deployment three working days
- • Normal - target deployment within four to six weeks
