For many years, HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services, has played a vital role in UK food safety surveillance by providing expert sample design and collection for key research projects. Our work has contributed to long-term monitoring of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and foodborne pathogens across the UK retail sector, supporting studies commissioned by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and other key stakeholders.

Our recent contributions include sampling for several high-profile surveillance studies, including:

🔬 AMR in Farmed Salmon Fillets (FS900350) – Investigating antimicrobial-resistant Escherichia coli and Listeria spp. in raw, prepacked, farmed salmon fillets available in UK retail.

🥩 AMR in Retail Meats (2023-2027) – Assessing the presence of antimicrobial-resistant E. coli in beef, pork, and poultry on sale in Northern Ireland.
