HallMark's Successful Webinar on CHEDp Notifications and IPAFFS with Portsmouth Port Health

HallMark and Portsmouth Port Health Deliver a Successful Webinar on CHEDp and IPAFFS

HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services, in close collaboration with Portsmouth Port Health Authority, recently hosted a highly successful webinar aimed at assisting import agents with import notifications and the CHEDp process. The event, led by our Technical and Training Lead Radoslav Stankov and Deputy Technical Lead Andreea Beda, drew over 50 participants from the import sector, reflecting its significant impact.

The session focused intensively on the import notification system, providing detailed guidance on the nuances of completing CHEDp documents. Experts from HallMark dissected complex topics such as product grouping by risk categories, establishment approvals, and the precision required in documenting weights on CHED-P that align with the Export Health Certificate (EHC) and commercial documents.

Key Takeaways from the Webinar:

  1. Product Grouping: Medium and low-risk category products must not be grouped on the same CHED; a separate CHED is required for each risk category.

  2. Establishment Approval: All establishments of origin must be approved and recorded on the CHED-P, applicable to all risk categories. Low-risk products must also originate from approved establishments.

  3. Plant Approvals: Every manufacturing plant listed on the Export Health Certificate (EHC) must be approved and correctly noted on the CHED-P.

  4. Weight Accuracy: It's crucial to ensure that the net and gross weights on the CHED-P are accurate and correspond with those on the EHC and commercial documents.

Resources Provided During the Webinar:

The session concluded with a dynamic Q&A segment, underscoring HallMark's commitment to continuous support and resource provision to streamline UK import processes.

Conclusion

We deeply appreciate the enthusiastic engagement of all attendees and are committed to ongoing support to enhance the efficiency of import procedures. Stay tuned for future webinars and updates from HallMark as we continue to provide up-to-date training and resources to ensure compliance and streamline the import process for veterinary and agricultural products.
