HallMark Participates in APHA Port Health Training Day

HallMark Joins APHA Port Health Training Day

On 14th November, HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services Head of Imports, Luis Castromil, and Managing Director, Patrick Steel, proudly represented the company at the Association of Port Health Authorities (APHA) Port Health Training Day. The event, hosted at the Union Jack Club in London, gathered representatives from the UK's Port Health Authorities and industry professionals to exchange knowledge on critical topics.

The training sessions covered a diverse range of subjects, including the implications of the Border Target Operating Model (BTOM) and strategies for managing common pests. This valuable event provided HallMark with an excellent platform to engage with key stakeholders in the sector.

HallMark took this opportunity to strengthen connections with customers who rely on our comprehensive veterinary inspection services for imports of Products of Animal Origin (POAO). Additionally, we highlighted the essential role our veterinarians play in collaboration with Border Force officials to tackle the illegal importation of pork products—a significant biosecurity threat due to the risk of African Swine Fever (ASF).

The event also served as a stage to showcase HallMark's extensive experience in delivering official veterinary controls at border points, underlining our commitment to safeguarding public and animal health.
