In an exciting development for border control and veterinary compliance, HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services has been awarded a prestigious contract with Portsmouth Port Health Authority (PPHA), marking a significant leap forward in the implementation of the new Border Target Operating Model (BTOM). This contract underscores HallMark's commitment to excellence and innovation in ensuring legislative compliance and safeguarding public health at one of the UK's key entry points.
Scope of Work
As the newly selected service provider, HallMark will play a pivotal role in investigating, regulating, and making decisions critical to the implementation of the new Border Target Operating Model (BTOM). This encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from ensuring legislative compliance for Products of Animal Origin (POAO), Products of Animal Origin Not for Human Consumption (NFPOAO), to Animal By Products (ABP).

Under the guidance of Luis Castromil, our Head of Imports, and Radoslav Stankov, our Imports Technical and Training Lead, we are set to deliver unparalleled service. Their expertise and ongoing advisory roles are instrumental in developing and implementing the processes required for a smooth operation.
Service Delivery and Future Plans
Starting January 1st, 2024, HallMark began providing ad-hoc expertise and training, gearing up for full-service provision from April 1st, 2024. This includes supplying three Portal Official Veterinarians for a guaranteed 40 hours per week, ensuring comprehensive coverage and continuous service availability.
Recruitment and Expansion
As we gear up for full operational support, the recruitment of an additional veterinarian is underway, ensuring that our team is robust and ready to tackle the challenges ahead. This expansion reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive support and maintaining the highest standards of service.
