HallMark and MLC at the British Pig & Poultry Fair 2024

HallMark Veterinary & Compliance Services and Meat and Livestock Classification (MLC) are excited to share our experiences from the British Pig & Poultry Fair 2024. Held on May 15th and 16th at the NEC Birmingham, this event was a cornerstone for agricultural innovation, featuring over 336 exhibitors showcasing the latest in products, technologies, and industry advancements. Our participation underscored our commitment to agricultural innovation, showcasing the latest advancements in the industry.

Managing Director Patrick Steel, Veterinary Head of Exports Luisma Diez, and Operations Director for MLC Steve Peaty explored emerging trends and shared insights driving the future of carcass classification and export health certification. We provided valuable insights into Export Health Certification (EHC), a crucial aspect for producers and exporters. Our experts discussed the future of carcass classification, highlighting its importance in maintaining high standards within the meat industry.

This year’s fair was particularly dynamic with the introduction of the Innovation Theatre, adding to the already popular Pig and Poultry Technical Theatres. These theatres provided a platform for live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and expert-led discussions, which were designed to foster learning and collaboration among attendees.

The event facilitated numerous networking opportunities, enabling us to connect with industry leaders and professionals to discuss future collaborations. This premier event was essential for anyone in the industry, from producers to suppliers and other allied professionals. It offered a unique opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and see first-hand the latest developments propelling the sector forward. Highlights included:

  • Live Demonstrations: Showcasing the latest technologies and methods in pig and poultry farming.

  • Interactive Sessions: Allowing attendees to engage directly with experts and innovators.

  • Expert-led Discussions: Covering a range of topics crucial to the industry's future, including sustainability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and engaged with our team. We look forward to continuing our conversations and collaborations. Stay tuned for more updates and insights from HallMark and MLC.
